I use the MB10 primarily for the extended battery life and secondarily for the good grip when shooting vertically.

The battery life difference is substantial, and means much fewer battery swaps, especially when using VR.

I am an AF-On button user and having the button on the MB-10 makes vericals much easier to manage.

On the downside, I don't mind the extra weight but it is not as solid a setup when the camera is mounted on a tripod.
