I finally had the chance to contact APS in Morton Grove, IL. I had a very pleasant conversation and learned that the cost of doing the things that I wanted to have done (replacing the rubber grips, checking the way the command dials run) as well as generaly overhauling and checking the shutter and focus specs would run around $200.00.

That certainly does seem to be reasonable. That's about 1/2 the cost of a refurbished one in E+ condition from KEH.

What do you think, Andy?
