Charlie,

Wound has healed beautifully and finger mobility restored. I cannot completely straighten it yet but I understand that just takes time and exercise.

Hope your (left/right?) fracture has healed up and your back toting that gear.

I think we all need more carbon fibre in camera and lens bodies. I think I read recently that Canon has a new lens with a CF body and said that it was for better dimensional tolerance during extreme weather conditions.
