I want to get the K1 because it's the shortest tube for Nikon at 5.8mm-is that correct? But it's pre AI-I know pre AI is a no no on D300. But since it has no meter coupling linkage(am I correct there)is it ok to use? A tube this short would be good making wide angle lenses focus closer. I have the PK-12 and at 14mm, it's way too much for wide angles.
