It needs an exposure adjustment of 3 stops3. It needs noise reduction.Using a DX camera of sufficient performance in this scenario does two things:1. It reduces the amount the photo needs to be cropped slightly.2. It allows me to take off the 1.4 extender therefore only requiring a 2 stop exposure adjustment.Those two things combine to reduce the amount of noise reduction required. Does this make sense?
