I hope they will provide a follow-up to the D300s. I have a D200, skipped the D300 because it did not provide the high-ISO gain I needed, went instead for 2.8 glass. When the D7000 came along, I was hoping to see another DX flagship with the same sensor, which I would buy without hesitation.
I expect such a machine would be priced the same as the D200 and D300 at launch, about $2000, but I am willing to pay more to stay with DX. FX has zero appeal for me.
