D7000 is close to the level of the D200 body (though smaller and has no PC terminal), but is still a one-generation upgrade. To me, one generation has no real incentive. I supposed if you shoot at ISO 1600 all the time and want less grain, it might be worth it. But other than that, I see little benefit in trading a D200 to a D7000.
