OK, Richard, let's have that conversation .
If you have a D800 (?) , and you are happy with 6 fps, then what is wrong with the D800 as a "D400" for your use?
(I ask this because I'm not sure of the answer myself)
Personally I think that a D400 MUST have 8 fps in order to offer something worthwhile to the general market it would now serve. I won't elaborate on why unless there isn't a general consensus here on that issue. But in your case, since you are happy with 6 fps, the answer to my question might make for interesting discussion.
