Suresh,

Using standard procedure and with your 450mm focal length this would have required a 450x1.5=675x2 (x2 is a safety factor) = 1/1300s minimum exposure. This is ten times shorter than your exposure.

I appreciate that you used a monopod and that you did use a VR lens but this would be unlikely to result in optimum sharpness at 1/125s

I am not trying to be critical and would be interested to hear your comment.
