I feel my D300S is producing way too many soft images. I am using a Sigma 150-500 lens and even tried some macros with my Nikkor 105 VR lens. But the issue is still the same. Here is one example that i would like you all to see. Subject was about 20 ft away from me. The camera was set to single point focus and the focus point appoximately near the eye area. Shutter speed 1/125sec, ISO 400 and F6.3. Camera was on a monopod and i took real care in proper holding of the camera. I am not really happy with the sharpness of the result. What do you think?
Is there anything i can do check if the camera really has focussing issues?
