I really appreciate your used camera checklist. It was really useful for me. I have a specific question for you however. The used D300 I recently received arrived in its factory box with all the do-dads, etc., EXCEPT the camera body "cover" (the plastic insert that should be installed where the lens would be). Of course the factory box contains all kinds of particulate-laden packaging materials, and I am concerned that the inner workings of the D300 have been contaminated by all the loose particulate during shipping via UPS.
What should I consider in terms of verifying the internal cleanliness, or getting it cleaned, or if it needs it at all, what do you recommend?
