My D200 is currently suffering DBS and still has firmware 2.00, it was bought in 2008.
I am currently checking this forum to find out how I can install 2.01 firmware on my D200 while the camera keeps switching off because of the battery issue. So far, tried to see if the USB might supply current, but it doesn't seem to. I don't own the adapter / equipment to directly connect my D200 to the electricity in my home. How to go around this problem ? I don't expect my D200 to suddenly work flawlessly on a battery when trying to install new firmware
By the way, I noticed that one of my batteries doesn't get the "burning light" on my battery charger, but instead after charging it, the light dies. So I thought that this battery may be (part of) the problem. Checked all my batteries, the other 3 function normally when charged (blinking while charging, and afterwards the light on the charger burns continuously as it should). Nonetheless, when using these batteries I also have DBS... (PS I only use the original Nikon-made batteries EN-EL3e)
So I've decided to try the firmware update, but how... ? All tips are welcome ! Thanks in advance !
