You have an option d9 under tools. It is called exposure delay mode. I use this with the tripod live view mode. It delays the suhtter about 1 second after the mirror locks up to reduce the mirror vibration. Push the ? button to see Nikon's exact description.

I am a big fan of the live view for landscape and macro. This is one of the reasons. The other is the ability to focus so precisely and easily confirm what is in focus (by using the zoom when in live view)
