I have recently become the owner of a D800. I already have a
D3 and a D4. There is no comparison in these cameras. The D800
is toy like when I put it on my 400 2.8 or my 600. D800 is
great for the big lenses if you are shooting non-moving
subjects or slow movers and you don't care how slow everything
is. It did not take me long to figure out the 800 is not
enough camera for my big lenses. Focusing is very slow and the
fps is much better for wildlife on the D4. I won't be getting
the D800 out unless I'm shooting landscapes!
