"RE: Do I buy a D4 or wait?"
I concur with Tom.Last April, I purchased a D800, which takes good pictures. I take wildlife photos and I could not even get enough stop action for squirrels in my back yard, leaping from a tree to the bird feeder. Then I got my D4. I'm almost embarrassed at how many photos I can take, by just holding down the shutter. Write speed of my Lexar 64MP x 1000 card, is always ready for my next shot.Keep in mind, that you also get higher ISO tolerances, than with the D800. I think 12,800 compared to 6,400 ISO in the D800.
