Let's take an example...

Take two shots of the same scene, first in Aperture Priority. Let's say that needs an exposure of 1/125th - f/4 - ISO 200. Then take a second in Manual exposure with the same settings. Obviously, the shots should come out the same. Are you saying that the one in Manual would be severely underexposed and the one in A would be OK?
