In general, the "pixels" of FX cameras are very bigger to slightly bigger than the DX camera, depending on the bodies being compared.

D4 - very big "pixels" on 36x24mm, 16.2 mp, king of ISO
D800 - 36.3 mp on 36x24mm, "pixels" slightly bigger than the DX D7100 (24.1 mp on 24x16mm)
D600 - 24.3 mp on 36x24mm, bigger "pixels" than the D7100

Pixel density is just one variable that can be used to determine image quality. Normally the IQ factors will depend on what your subject is and under what circumstances you are shooting.
