I've only had to wet-clean my D3 a few times in the five years I've owned it. Usually, the Rocket Blower and Arctic Butterfly are enough. But I also tolerate a bit more dust than many since I'll go weeks at a time without ever stopping down from f/2.8, where it takes a pretty serious dust particle to cause a problem.
