I haven't needed to swab the sensor on my D4's yet. I've had the bodies about six months.

I always keep a lens on the body (usually my 14-24/2.8), and haven't been to any dirty or dusty places yet.

I clean off the distal end of a lens before I mount it, and the front surface after it's mounted. Usually a quick blow from the Rocket; occasionally a brush.

About once a week, or when I think of it, I hold the D4's upside down, and gently blow some air against the sensors.

I haven't seen any spots yet. (And I typically blow the exposures up to 500% on the monitor just to take a gander. And be impressed again how sharp the D4 images are.)
