Interesting to see how many photos different people shoot.
Here are my figures (including some of my Nikon pro film bodies): F100 (bought used in 2004, so total number is unknown to me): 2880 F6 (Bought used in 2011, so total number is unknown to me): 756 F6 (Bought new in end of 2006): 4824 D3 (Bought new mid 2008): 12894
These days my F100 doesn't see much use anymore. When I bought the first F6 I fell in love with the camera and its performance. The build quality, battery performance with the grip, matrix metering with Nikkor Ai lenses, capturing exif data in a file and printing the same information between the frames etc. was so much better than the F100, that I almost always reaches for the F6 instead. Last year I bought a second F6 used to have the possibility to shoot two different kinds of film (typically slide and b/w film) at the same time.
The D3 was primarily bought for wildlife photography, but I don’t do that much anymore, so it doesn’t see as much use as I thought it would.
