Yes, I had just checked the actuations. I think the last time I took the time to check, the actuation count was around 120,000, so it is not that common that I check it. The night before, the actuation count was 189,121. Yesterday, I shot 900 images of bighorn sheep chasing each other and banging heads during the rut. 190,000+
I live in Jackson Hole, WY so I get plenty of chances to photograph both wildlife and landscapes. I go out usually in the morning and again in the afternoon on most days. When there is action, I shoot heavy. My count is usually higher than landscape and macro shooters. The D4 is great because it shoots fast and has a generous buffer. Also, I shoot a lot of panoramic images, so to get one composite, I often shoot three or four sets of eight to twelve images.
