I moved from the D3 to D4. I skipped the D3s because it did not improve low light autofocus over my D3. The shots I missed were due to missed focus in low light. The D4 solves this problem very nicely. D4 AF performance, particularly in low light levels, is just amazing. That makes it worth the price for me. I do enjoy the better-than-D3 high ISO performance, but would not buy it for that alone.

I appreciate being able to initiate VR with the AF-ON button. Another feature I find myself using is Silent Mode. This is really useful if shooting during a live performance or religious service where any shutter/mirror noise would be a distraction.
