Perrone's right. If you don't want the video, just ignore it. It's pretty safe to assume that every DSLR going forward will have video capability, just as essentially all P&S and phones have it. The sensors are ALL designed to provide that capability, you cannot avoid it.

I'm not really any more interested in video than you are, but that's the way the industry is today.
