I would like to make a quick comment about this product. The glass fragility is a problem and quite frankly if the cover was made of German Schott glass there would be no issue of fragility, ease of cleaning and accuracy of color transmission. A quick indicator that the glass is likely of inferior origin is indicated by the price. It is unlikely that the LCD cover will cost only ten to eleven dollars if it is Schott Glass. So, right there is an indicator to avoid the product. When you are buying the high end Giotto's items they are made from Schott Glass and all of the factors which I mentioned, viz., color transmission, strength etc. are at play and you know it is a good product.
So, in a word as new properly sized products come out for our beloved D800's and D4's if the price is about $25 to $30 they will likely be of the best possible glass with high strength and good colour. Now if these manufacturers could just get their act together and make the products to fit properly we could have our LCD's protected!!!
