This certainly is the case with a D800, provided that it is the RGB histograms and not the luminance histogram that is displayed. I find it a valuable feature.

I do not dispute what Brian wrote. The only reason I mention the above is in case Brian refers to the luminance histogram and it happens that the RGB histogram behaviour is similar to the D800?
