I have never noticed any air coming out the eyepiece of any camera with any zoom lens or otherwise, including the 80-200 push/pull.

What I have noticed, in practically every lens eventually, is internal dust. Every lens, regardless of Push-pull, two touch, prime, internal focus, Nikon, Sigma, Tokina...
