I like the size and feel of the larger body; while I love the D800, when I come back to it after a day of shooting on the larger body, it feels strange.

But it was a consideration, much as when someone asks "what's the best mid range telephoto" - saying the 70-200 is probably a no-brainer, if if they continue "that I can use as a walk around lens" it makes a difference. My 18-200 is still my favorite walk-around lens (though now my wife has it) not for IQ but versatility.

Best of luck on a tough choice. I don't think you can go wrong either way, and if both become a choice take it!
