Nothing real scientific yet but off the cuff here is what happened in the past week or so.
I did calibrate the battery it took 0h..... 6-7 hours to complete the process.
Then I put the camera in the bag ready for use. After three days I pulled the camera out and the battery was dead! Recharged the battery again and shot the next day I shot about 200 frames and the battery was down to about 40% life left. I recharge it and shot a couple of days later and shot 299 shots with 60% life left.
So it is improving but a far cry from the 2000+ frame advertised. The last shoot I left the battery out of the body until I was ready to shoot suspecting the body was drawing excessive current while in the off mode. I am not sure if this helped or not?
My new battery is charged and I have not really put it to a good trial run yet. I plan to try it out this Saturday.
But in general I am very disappointed with my D4 battery life.
>So Bob, what did you find? Was it calibration? The battery? > Camera? Charger? Cosmic rays from a meteor in your back >yard? > >Linwood > >Comments welcomed on pictures: Http://captivephotons.com
