You should have the D4 and think about a D800 as a spare

Difference is you have a pro body,and a better built, more rugged camera. The pro bodies are designed to handle more abuse(not that I abuse a camera)

I dont have D4,but,own a D3S,D3 and D2Xs. All pro bodies. They just work better. Smoother shutters ...just everything is better.

You dont have to purchase extra grips or bases to get higher frame rates either.
