And even then it depends on what you are comparing to. If the issue is hand shake, then it is a question of what angle the camera moves during exposure and how many pixels it crosses.

At the same distance and with the same lens, the answer is virtually the same for a D300 and D800. Look at the DX crop size: 4800 vs 4288 on the long side, or 12% more pixels. That means if you shake the camera and it moves over 8 pixels on the d300 as a blur, it moves over 9 on the D800. That's very little difference.
