Steve, most of the time you're likely shooting with a shutter speed of 1/500 or higher. Assuming that's true, I believe that VR isn't helping you, and actually in some cases, in can hurt your photograph.May I suggest you read Thom Hogan's article about VR at:http://bythom.com/nikon-vr.htmIt's extremely interesting and helpful.I've found through my photography that the article mirrors my experience.Also, if you're using high speed continuous shooting, plus high shutter speeds, it's even more important to turn VR off as it can't recover fast enough to help.NedA Nikonians Team Member-----------------------------Visit my Travel Photography Blog and my Galleries.
