I now have a bent pin in my D4. The top left pin, when looking into the camera above the XQD slot, is completely bent. I only use San Disk and was wondering how in the world this could happen. When I called Nikon I didn't notice the bent pin, but a 4am, sleepless, decided to look more closely with an old manual 50mm lens and a better flashlight. I have filled out all my forms to send off to Nikon, but didn't note bent pin. Because I am less than 60 miles away, I will drive the camera to Melville, NY and explain when I get there.
I don't recall putting any card in backwards. How could this happen? Maybe a bit of something flew in when I was changing cards outside? Who knows? But it is kind of irritating and makes me wish Nikon had just put two XQD slots in the camera.
I will be leaving for Africa in two to three weeks for at least one year for some assignments and obviously can't go without this camera.
