The only porential damage as to removing and inserting a CF card in to and out of the camera is that you could snap the door cover off. I have seen this happen quite a bit when I sold digitial cameras. People often came in and asked where they could buy replacement doors, or rubber card plugs.
Alan, if a microdrive is a disk, then is it subjectable to the same type of damage as a floppy disc, or Zip disc being near EM fields, and metal detector/X-Ray machines. I've lost ZIP disc due to secruity as opposed to CF which is unaffected by the EM fields these machines tend to produce?
