"RE: D4 Live View"

Regarding Movie mode I can make this comment, I believe auto-ISO does not function when in manual mode. This appears to be a choice difference in setting up the D4 movie mode. So I have been shooting video in manual mode and manually having to adjust ISO. I would like to be able to sometimes shoot in Auto-ISO and sometimes not, all the while being able to control movies shutter speed to 1/50 (for 24P) or 1/60 (for 30P). But I can't.

The other odd thing is Shutter-priority in movie mode does not allow one to control shutter speed ;-( - Shutter and Program modes act as "fully automatic" not allowing you to set SS, aperture, or ISO. Fine for P mode by why include shutter-priority in this, I can't understand why Nikon made this choice?

There is an Exposure mode table on P. 64 of the PDF-manual that outlines this. There is also a non-transparent to me sentence that states the following "If the subject is over- or under-exposed in mode S or P, end live view and start movie live view again or select exposure A and adjust aperture."

Still lots to learn for me.

Best regards, SteveK
