It seems like only yesterday that I was using the D1X (not several years old please!) Most wedding clients will not care what equipment you use but how you do in your relationships with them and if you capture the wedding emotion, activities and their family and friends. However, once you start to print the images they will care. The D1x can print up to 16x20 without the aid of additional software, colors are great, the auto focus is one of the best- the D!X does have a tendency to overexpose so you can set the custom menu to expose under 1/2 a stop to compensate. I learned along time ago that your glass will be hugely important so don't go cheap- 2.8 is best here. Good luck if you do make leap- please don't wear a hawaiian shirt and charge $200. including album- it will make the rest of us look bad!
