I think the term "Pro" is compared to other digital cameras rather then comparing the build quality to "pro" film cameras. Concidering that the majority of digital cameras (even many of the so called "pro" models) are essentially point and shoots, any SLR digital camera with changable lenses is concidered "pro". It's just a different standard of comparison. Hey, there's professionals out there who think that a camera has to be medium format to be "pro". I think the tru definition of "pro" would be if a professional photographer would seriously consider using the camera to help make a living. And given the specifications of the D100 compared to the rest of the digital cameras, I guess the answer would be yes. Of course my opinion is from the perspective of a hobbiest since I haven't quit my day job to take photos...
