This sounds nuts to me. I always use a Sekonic hand held meter for all my studio flash shots and I use it extensively for outdoor sports shots too. I do not use the through the lens metering very much.

I have NEVER gotten what I would consider a blue cast. And I do not get underexposed shots. HOWEVER, I USE BIBBLE TO CONVERT ALL RAW NEF FILES TO TIFF FILES. Bibble automatically adjusts the picture and it allow me EXTREME flexibility to adjust color temperature and exposure.

I suggest you pay the $99 that Bibble costs and eliminate all of your problems permanently. www.bibblelabs.com
