As mentioned in the previous post, sharpening the luminosity channel can reduce color artifacts, and is highly recommended. However, you need not go to LAB color space to do this. Here's a quick tip:

1. Sharpen as you would normally in RGB color
2. Select Edit...Fade...to luminosity.

Does the same thing, but without having to convert to LAB and back to RGB.
