It's interesting you mention the Canon D60, Luc.

On DPreview there has started a heated discussion

about the fact that Canon has used the older body of the D30, with only minor modifications, to upgrade to the D60, basically by only changing the chip and not really upgrading AF, one of the major complaints on the D30, and other features that with electronic camera's become outdated so fast.

Rumor has it that Canon made this move in its hurry to draw some of the attention from the introduction of the D100. Fact is that by using the older body, they are able to put the D60 faster on the market that Nikon will do with the D100.

Pricewise though the body is very interesting,

and may force Nikon to keep the price of the F100 on a lower level too.

Aren't we lucky there's such rivalry in this part of the market?
