If they're getting D100 images scaled that large and you don't have Genuine Fractals, provide a lossless tiff or psd file to the service bureau. The image file has to be saved in stn format and opened to the larger size with the fractal upsampling Genuine Fractals offers.

For other purposes, a low compression jpeg is usually okay, but if you need to deliver maximum quality use tiff with lossless LZW compression (don't use jpeg compressed tiff as Adobe now allows in the tiff format) or Photoshop psd. BMP is a bad choice for image file sharing - it's not cross-platform for one thing.
