Okay, as it turns out I had to go into the office today (Saturday!) to collect a pile of documents for review but guess what... picked up the D1H from my desk as well plus a Lexar 256MB compact flash card from the shops for testing the system!
Anyway, here are a couple of "trials" from the garden, both shot with my favorite lens... the 105mm f/2.8D Micro-Nikkor (or rather the "157.5mm" f/2.8D Micro-Nikkor now!) at ISO 200 setting. Hmm... seems to be quite a nifty little system here.
One new thought or question now... Considering how PC/Mac harddisks get fragmented over time, do these memory cards (compact flash and microdrives) get fragmented as well? If so, will they require occasional maintanence like disk defragmentation and or scanning checks?
