Frits, Thats a nice fix but it disturbs me that after 3 generations of Nikon DSLRs and 2 generations of DX speedlights Nikon can't get this flash to work with digital bodies as well as it does for its film bodies. Also, why should the built-in speedlight provide better light than the 28DX or 80DX? I'm awaiting a USA model 80DX from Adorama. If this is no better than what I've seen with other speedlights, I'm going to send my D100 and the speedlight back to Nikon and let them figure it out.
In the end, I'll probably be adjusting my flash compensation by +0.7 like everyone else...
BTW, when you say that you have the camera master and the flash set at +0.7 do you mean the camera exposure compensation or the camera's flash compensation? The flash compensation on the camera and the flash are additive.
