Photoshop might be confusing color modes. When you open the picture in Photoshop, do you get the color mismatch warning? If so, choose the option "Don't Color Manage, then go to the menu Image and assign Adobe 1998. Also make sure NC3 is set to work in Adobe 1998 (you can set it in the Preferences). So you can have a common ground to compare.
