WHY, For heaven's sake? UNLESS it is Winter outside, and you don't have enough to do, or a wild animal has run away with your shoes!

Any difference in Lines/mm, Megapixels, gigaframmises, unless the lens(es) in question have had the Merrie Aitch beaten out of them, in the real world of jittery, shaky, unsteady hand-held human photography, it will not matter!

You want to know if your lenses are sharp enough? Go take pictures in your usual manner! Fruit, vegetables at the supermarket, flowers, kids: if you can't find animals, or the pup isn't cooperating, your grandma's old fur coat, or visit the Zoo! THEN, using good technique, take pictures!

Studies have proven that:

73.649% of all unsharp photos are the result of pressing the shutter release like you were killing a particularly ugly bug!

The next statistic is like unto the last...proper technique...steady on,there! left hand supporing camera/lens, arms in to the sides...not flapping in the breeze, like some large, ungainly bird attempting to take off!

High enough shutter speed; at least equal to the maximum focal length of your lens, or brace yourself really well. As a last resort...the tripod!

But,in the Gravest Possible Extreme, when a darkened room, soft music, taking two aspirin, and cuddling with your favorite blanky don't help, the Air Force chart is a marvelous pacifier! (Don't ask how I know this!)

It is a Fine and Pleasant Madness
