Thank you for the feedback. I realized at one point that I needed a higher f stop, but I never felt like I found a sweet spot. I look forward to trying those settings. As others have mentioned, it's been good for larger critters and relatively static subjects, and the fact is I've used it enough that it is showing a fair amount of wear, so I really don't have much to complain about.

Again, I appreciate the suggestions.
