Bonjour Claude,

I thought about buying this lens as well for indoors and night street photos. I tried it and loved it. However, the new 28mm f/1.8 just came out. I tried it as well and like it very much. So I ended up buying the 28mm f/1.8 because it is lighter, almost as wide, and I used the remaining money to buy the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 which is considered as good as Nikon's one.

N.B. I'm a landscape and travel photographer using mostly pro zooms, and a bird/wildlife photographer using 500mm f/4.

There are several reviews on this lens on the web and several comments in this forum and the D800 forum.

Salutations,
