Jason,

You may have found the answer.

Canadian Banks are regulated by the Bank of Canada + Mark Carney is the Governor of the Bank = Canadian retailers have stock of a "rare" lens

British Banks are regulated by the Bank of England + Mark Carney starts as Governor of the Bank of England in 2013 = Amazon UK has stock of a "rare" lens

Bad news is that Canadians are paying $250 more for the lens than the Swiss and $150 more than the British. Does that mean price increases in the UK?
