I fully agree with Len on this - the 70-200 is going to be a lot more flexible and a lot more capable, save ONLY for the one case where all of the following conditions apply:
1) the subject can be framed properly at 135mm 2) the light is lower than can reasonably dealt with at f/2.8 3) the subject is moving quickly enough that VR cannot realistically assist 4) the DOF at f/2 is sufficient to make a quality capture 5) you actually have the 135 mounted, or at least can mount it quickly enough to respond
To be clear, I own both of these lenses, and frankly I actually like the 135/f2 better in that I enjoy using it more. But given the hard facts about what the two lenses can do, it is really very hard to imagine that you'll be able to make better use of the 135/f2 very often.
