Some people like to rationalize and make statements without knowing or caring about the truth. My comments are from calling them directly and speaking over the phone to their sales staff. Everything I stated was fact based on the conversation I had, nothing else. The sales person told me he had to charge me sales tax in California, and when I asked why he relayed the Amazon information including the warehouse as part of the explanation. If you have information to show that one item is not the case in your state fine, let folks know that your experience is different.
I previously purchased a 28-105mm lens at the end of October again directly from KEH, but online not through a sales person over the phone and I was charged sales tax (I have the sales confirmation email as proof). The lens was around $200 dollars so tax on that wasn't a big deal at the time. I don't like being charged for lens caps, that's my opinion, I know you disagree and frankly I don't care. I am not being paid by Nikonians or anyone else; I don't have to post or help anyone. When I take that time to respond, I give people solid information as I know it, end of story.
