My first two pro lenses were the 14-24 and 24-70mm. I sold the 14-24 because a) it was too wide for me on FX and b) filters were an expensive option. I bought the 16-35mm and have not regretted it. The 24-70mm however is a never to be sold lens, it has to be the best non VR lens ever. However, I have often thought the 24-120mm f4 would offer me further flexibility and fit nicely between my 24-70 and 70-200.

It's the same old story, too much choice, too small a budget
